Before you buy a bidet seat, check these five things

1. Start with the toilet model

Look for an existing model label or use your purchase records. If you cannot identify the toilet, send a clear photo of the whole fixture and the seat with the lid raised. You do not need to dismantle anything to start a request.

Keep the product link for the bidet you are considering. A model name is much easier to check than a screenshot that cuts off the specifications.

2. Match the bowl shape and clearances

Round and elongated seats are different products. The area between the seat mounting points and the tank matters too. A seat can look right from above and still have a housing that interferes with the toilet’s contours.

3. Check whether the seat needs power

Some bidet products use an electrical supply; others do not. Read the selected model’s requirements before assuming a nearby outlet solves the problem. Send a photo showing where the outlet sits relative to the toilet, without removing covers or touching wiring.

If a new outlet or electrical alteration is needed, include it as a separate part of the request. The appropriate professional must confirm that work before the installation is accepted.

4. Show the water connection and available space

An unobstructed photo of the visible shutoff valve and supply connection helps the team understand access. Mention any known leak, damaged fitting, or valve that has not been working properly. Do not force a stuck valve just to test it.

Also show the space beside the toilet. Cabinets, a wall, or a narrow opening can affect access and the position of controls.

5. Send one complete request
