Loose towel bar: a fixture connection or a wall repair?
A loose towel bar or towel ring can involve two different connections: the accessory attached to its mounting bracket, or the bracket attached to the wall. Repeatedly tightening a small screw may not address the part that is actually moving.

Understand what the small screw holds
In Moen's Set Screw Hardware System, a screw secures the mounting post to a wall anchor. A separate set screw then secures the visible fixture to that post. Those fasteners do different jobs: tightening the fixture connection does not establish that the wall connection is sound.
Describe what you already noticed during use: one end wobbling, a post separating from the wall, or the bar slipping out. Do not tug on it to demonstrate the problem. If it is pulling away or shedding wall material, stop using it and arrange an assessment.
An opening underneath is not always a missing screw
Moen's accessory guide distinguishes set-screw, EZ 2 Install and Pro Fit assemblies. Its Pro Fit example has an opening without a screw or exposed tab. Do not buy a replacement screw solely because you can see an empty opening.
Find the brand, collection and model in receipts or product records. Photograph the whole accessory and any safely visible underside detail. Keep a fallen part for identification, but leave the installed assembly in place until its attachment method is understood.
Include the wall in the repair request
Show visible cracks, damaged paint or gaps around the posts. State whether the surface is painted wallboard, tile or something unknown, and mention earlier repairs. A photo cannot establish the hidden support or whether an existing anchor can be reused.
Ask the repairer to distinguish securing the accessory from repairing or relocating its wall attachment. If replacement is proposed, confirm whether the new mounting layout fits the existing location and what happens to exposed holes. Patching, texture and paint may need their own scope.
A towel accessory is not a body-support fixture
Do not use a decorative towel bar to steady yourself. Kohler's Stillness accessory instructions explicitly exclude use as a grab or support bar and warn against placement where that confusion is likely. Tightening an accessory does not turn it into a grab bar.
If someone needs support at that location, describe that need separately and request an appropriate grab-bar and installation assessment. Send Coast & Craft the accessory details, photos and repair history, and confirm the accepted work before ordering parts.
